I am Andie...

I’m Andrian, my friends call me Andie. I’m 27 and residing in ParaƱaque City with my nanay and my soon to be married younger brother. My older brother is happily married (I hope so…) with three kids. My tatay, may he rest in peace, died more than a year ago. My father’s passing was one of the saddest periods of my life. In addition to the fact of losing a very important person in my life, to see my nanay suffer in unbearable grief and immense loneliness was a tremendous torture to me. And until now I can see and feel her pain. If I could only absorb all the pains and sufferings...

I finished BS in Accountancy at the Lyceum of the Philippines in Intramuros, Manila on March 2003 and with God’s graces and blessings and with the inspiration from my parents and friends, I passed the October 2003 Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examination. To have able to pass such a very difficult exam and achieve what my father wanted me to be, to become a CPA, was so rewarding. I can still remember how my tatay, in that Tuesday morning of October 21, 2003, when my name ANDRIAN MANINANG DELA CRUZ was printed on page 15 of the Manila Bulletin (I still have the copy of the newspaper with me), spoke of me to his friends and kumpares. He was so delighted and proud of me. How I wish he is still here with us to share the celebrations of my future achievements and other memorable occasions.

After obtaining the CPA title, I was immediately employed by Land Bank of the Philippines and have been with the Bank for more than six years to date. I’m happy, so far, with what’s going on with my career. At my young age, I was able to handle almost every sort of people’s attitude and was able to adapt to it. On May 2009, I decided to join the Management Development Program of the Bank, and after extensive screening which included series of examinations and panel interviews, I was included in the list of the few successful participants. The program has started last November 2009 and will end this July 2010. I pray and I hope to successfully finish the program as I know that this will open more doors of challenges and new horizons of opportunities in my pursuit for professional advancement and growth.

I love to sing and listen to songs… the genre of which will depend on what mood I’m in. I usually listen to pop artists like Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Pink and Josh Groban in particular. I also like country music, like songs from the stunningly talented singer/composer Shania Twain and Leann Rimes. I am not into dancing but listening to latin music like that of Thalia, Gloria Estefan and Ricky Martin, it will make your body move to the rhythms. I also enjoy watching animated movies along with other romantic comedy ones. I also enjoy reading and watching informative television programs like The National Geographic Channel and The Discovery Channel. I am a nature lover and I greatly appreciate the beauty of God’s creation. For me, every details of the environment is spectacular. My only wish now is that every human creature will take their responsibility to preserve and sustain this precious gift from the Creator. I love to travel and if given the opportunity, I want to go to different places here in the Philippines and in other countries as well, to see and feel the splendor of nature, to meet different people and races, to experience various cultures and traditions among many others.

I treasure the value of family and friendship. If you have nowhere to go, your family will always be there for you. If you are hurt and in pain, a friend will always be there to comfort you.

I believe that life is beautiful and absolutely has full of surprises. I have learned to live and love each and every day of my life as if it is my last… to sing, to dance, to laugh, to cry, to learn, to hope, and most especially, to LOVE…

...and LOVE and LOVE over and over again. c",)

LOVE... LOVE... LOVE...

"Love is when the other person's happiness is more important than your own..."
